Ballot Issue for Library Millage Vote November 8, 2011

The Foundation funded yard signs and other publicity regarding the need to pass the 1 mill ballot issue.

Furniture For New Meeting Rooms at HFCL

The Foundation assisted in facilitating Ford Motor Company donation of a portion of the furniture needed to furnish the five new meeting rooms on the third floor at the Henry Ford Centennial Library.

Early literacy computers for the Children's area at the branch libraries

In 2010, the Dearborn Public Library Foundation funded the purchase of early literacy computers and software for the Children's area at each of the branch libraries. These top-rated machines are designed specifically for children from toddlers to second grade.

Renovation of the Children’s and Youth areas at the Henry Ford Centennial Library

The Library Foundation funded the remodeling of the Children’s area at the Henry Ford Centennial Library (HFCL) in 2008 and the Youth Activity Room at HFCL, used for programs for youth of all ages.

  • Children's Book and Author Luncheon
    The Foundations second annual luncheon was held on September 17th, 2011 featuring Michigan
    children's book author Ruth McNally Barshaw. A report on the luncheon including photos of participants
