If you have a creative-imaginative child, please enroll her/him in our workshop, “PICTURE THIS,” to be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Henry Ford Centennial Library in the Youth Services Program Room on the second floor.
Two workshops are being offered, and each can accommodate only 24 children.
The morning workshop begins at 10:00 for and is designed for early elementary students in grades kindergarten, one and two. Amber Riley will facilitate the session. She has writ…ten and illustrated children’s books. She will begin by reading to the children; then they will illustrate what captured their imagination as they listened.
The afternoon workshop begins at 2:00 p.m. for students in grades 3, 4 and 5. David Anger, local author, often writes stories based upon his growing up. He has a keen appreciation for the wonders of the natural world. Two of his narrative poems are in the library’s Big Read publication, DREAMING DREAMS NO MORTAL EVER DARED TO DREAM BEFORE: “Mudfish Tom” and “Snakebit Lil.”
Light refreshments and art supplies will be provided by the Dearborn Library Foundation.
